tonight i have been thinking about this particular part in one of c.s lewis’ narnia books.
jill is dying of thirst and aslan is beside the stream that would supply her water.
she is afraid and asks him if he eats girl, if he promises to be safe. he makes no promise to her.
so she says, “I suppose I must go and look for another stream then.”
and aslan replies, “there is no other stream.”
oh, that we would stop looking for other streams. that we would know the stream that is before us is far greater then the false thirst-quenchers.
keep our heads up, lord.
